With the economic climate still proving difficult for many consumers, one commentator has highlighted the fact that some may look to use their life insurance policies as a solution to financial problems.
Writing in an article for the Sheboygan Press, Ken King has pointed out that certain people might be tempted to cash in the life insurance policies they have in a bid to deal with their issues.
However, Mr King has urged consumers who are in this position to tread carefully.
He stated in his column: "You should check with your agent or insurance company about the options you might have available to you.
"You may be able to take a loan against the cash value of the policy."
Earlier in the month, the Association of British Insurers media relations officer Malcolm Tarling highlighted the need for people to consider investing in life insurance protection if they have dependents.
