A number of myths relating to life insurance policies have been discussed by one organisation, with the truth behind them being revealed.
According to Insure.com, one misconception that may exist is that people are uninsurable if they have been turned down by one provider of life insurance.
However, the company notes that consumers will not necessarily be turned down by all life insurance providers, just because they have had one negative experience.
Meanwhile, the website has pointed out that the belief that "anyone can take out a life insurance policy on you" is also a myth.
Its senior managing editor Amy Danise has emphasised the need for misunderstandings to be put straight.
She stated: "We want consumers to understand the life insurance process before, during and after they buy policies."
People may find that their monthly life insurance outgoings only amount to £5, Aviva suggested last month.
