People considering taking out life insurance policies in the near future might benefit from new guidance which has been issued by the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
According to the organisation, the premiums that people have to pay for life insurance should not change as they go through their lives, if they give their policy provider honest information from the very beginning.
Health changes that people experience in the future should not have an impact on their life insurance premiums and cover, the body suggests.
Acting director general at the ABI Maggie Craig has noted the dangers of things like under-insurance.
She stated: "People with questions about their insurance should always talk to their insurer or an insurance broker to make sure they have the right level of cover for their needs."
The organisation's director of general insurance and health Nick Starling last month warned people against insurance fraud.
